The Manufacturing Operations team is responsible for a wide range of activities that are crucial to the manufacturing process including operating equipment, assembling products, performing quality control checks, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

ABOUT THE JOB

We believe that exceptional documentation is a cornerstone of successful product development. As a Technical Writer, you will:

  • Bridge Gaps: Work closely with users and cross-functional teams to identify documentation needs, identify gaps in understanding, and use documentation to close the gap
  • Create Impactful Content: Craft clear and engaging materials that empower front-line decision makers with the best available information. Your work will directly support national security efforts and empower our internal customers with precise and user-friendly information about Anduril systems.
  • Shape the Future: Set the tone and quality for all written artifacts and build world-class infrastructure for scalable documentation.

Our belief is that documentation is a key part of the product development process. As a Technical Writer, you will work closely with users to understand how they use our products, identify gaps in understanding, and use documentation to close the gap. You will be play a foundational role in setting the tone and quality bar on written artifacts and tooling for creating and maintaining our documentation content at scale.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Written content artifacts under this charter may include things like: user guides, release notes, troubleshooting guides, and API documentation. You will partner with engineering, product management, and the business across all phases of product development — from ground truth need-finding, to execution, to field testing and validation — to ensure that the user has the right documentation available.

This is an opportunity to join a small and scrappy team to help shape Anduril’s product documentation experience from the ground up.

  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with engineering, product management, and business stakeholders throughout all phases of product development—need-finding, execution, field testing, and validation.
  • Produce Comprehensive Documentation: Create user guides, release notes, troubleshooting guides, and API documentation that are informative and engaging.
  • Enhance Our Toolkit: Contribute to developing style guides, streamlining the documentation lifecycle, and refining the review process.
  • Drive a Delightful User Experience: Work with engineering to deliver user-friendly content that informs and provides an enjoyable user experience.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of experience in process planning or technical writing
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics
  • Basic development proficiency - we value the ability to apply software development best practices to documentation systems
  • A passion for excellent documentation and user experiences
  • Clear and persuasive writing and in-person communication skills, for a variety of audiences
  • The ability to thrive with a high level of autonomy and responsibility, managing competing demands and occasional tight deadlines
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience using, evaluating, and implementing modern software and automation tools to help manage high volume technical writing requirements
US Salary Range
$113,000$149,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
