The Deputy Chief of Staff will be a proactive and adaptable partner to our CEO, Chief of Staff, and the entire executive team. This role involves managing complex scheduling, coordinating projects, and optimizing workflows. It demands independence, task-level ownership, and a deep understanding of Anduril's mission. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity and rapidly evolving business priorities. You will partner closely with the Chief of Staff, bridging administrative efficiency with high-level operational execution.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Calendar Management

  • Manage and optimize the CEO's comprehensive calendar.
  • Balance and prioritize the calendars of multiple leaders, demonstrating agility in adapting to shifting needs while ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery.
  • Plan and execute seamless domestic and international travel for the CEO, anticipating and addressing their specific needs and preferences.
  • Accompany the Executive on travel as required.
  • Coordinate and support VIP engagements, both internally and externally.

Communications

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external communications on behalf of the CEO, especially concerning meetings.
  • Analyze and interpret incoming information to identify gaps, and develop and disseminate communications that bridge these gaps between key stakeholders.
  • Handle confidential communications with discretion and professionalism, demonstrating a deep understanding of company policies and executive perspectives.
  • Communicate information clearly and efficiently, tailoring communication styles for diverse audiences.

Relationship Management

  • Cultivate strong relationships within the immediate team and across departments, becoming a trusted partner to leaders by understanding team dynamics, priorities, and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate seamless coordination on high-stakes projects by proactively managing relationships.
  • Operate with discretion and independence to optimize processes, flag risks, and ensure the secure handling of sensitive information.
  • Provide backup support to other administrative assistants as a member of the administrative team.
  • Travel domestically and internationally as needed for the role.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of experience supporting fast-paced executive teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills: Proven ability to write, speak, and interact effectively and professionally with high-level executives, clients, employees, and business associates, both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated discretion: Proven track record of handling confidential and sensitive information with utmost professionalism.
  • Robust organizational and time management skills: Proven ability to multitask effectively, manage multiple priorities and individuals, and consistently deliver high-quality results with thorough follow-through.
  • Expertise in international and domestic travel coordination.
  • Experience interfacing with Board of Directors, investors, and external executives.
  • Proven experience in planning and executing VIP events.
  • Mastery of managing and optimizing complex, high-volume calendars.
  • Detail-oriented with a systematic approach: Proficient in implementing and utilizing functional systems for work management (e.g., Asana, bullet-journaling).
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite and Slack.
  • Completed Undergraduate Degree
  • U.S. Person status is required due to access to export-controlled data.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Problem solving and very strong analytical skill capabilities.
  • Successfully supported multiple leaders in the past.
  • Worked in a hard tech startup or similar environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience with end-to-end project management.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Success in this role is looking outside the box, ability to fill the gap between comms, flexibility

US Salary Range
$113,000$149,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
