About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Operations Manager to build and run our core business operations in Singapore. This is a mid-level, execution-focused role ideal for someone who thrives in a startup environment and can balance doing the work with building scalable processes.
You will own critical operational functions including banking setup, payroll, compliance, and day-to-day business operations, while helping us navigate the regulatory and business landscape across Singapore and broader Asia.
What You’ll Do
Build & Run Operations
- Set up and manage day-to-day operations for our Singapore entity
- Create simple, scalable processes across finance, HR, and admin
- Act as the go-to person for operational needs in the region
- Work closely with founders and global teams to execute quickly
Banking & Finance Execution
- Open and manage corporate bank accounts in Singapore
- Handle payments, vendor setup, and basic financial operations
- Partner with external accountants or internal finance teams
- Keep financial operations clean, organized, and audit-ready
Payroll & HR Ops
- Oversee EOR and Vendors run monthly payroll for Singapore employees (including CPF contributions)
- Ensure compliance with local employment laws and tax requirements
- Coordinate onboarding/offboarding and employee documentation
- Work with external payroll and benefits providers as needed
Compliance & Regulatory
- Own compliance with Singapore regulations (ACRA, IRAS, MOM)
- Manage filings such as annual returns, tax submissions, and corporate updates
- Stay on top of regulatory changes and flag risks proactively
- Support light compliance needs across other Asia markets when needed
Support Asia Expansion
- Help execute operational setup in new Asia markets (e.g., vendors, compliance basics)
- Coordinate with local advisors (legal, tax, accounting)
- Bring practical knowledge of “how things actually work” in the region
What We’re Looking For
- 3–6 years of experience in operations, business ops, finance ops, or similar roles
- Experience working in Singapore or Asia-based operations
- Familiarity with:
- Singapore compliance (ACRA, IRAS, MOM)
- Payroll and CPF processes
- Corporate banking setup
- Comfortable working in a startup environment (ambiguity, speed, ownership)
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Willing to roll up your sleeves and execute—not just plan
Nice to Have
- Experience at an early-stage or scaling tech startup as well as a larger institution
- Exposure to multi-country operations in Asia
- Experience working with external vendors (payroll, accounting, legal)
- Basic understanding of finance or bookkeeping
