Profound is the marketing platform for the AI era. As people increasingly turn to ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini to decide what to buy, we give brands the intelligence to see how AI represents them and the Agents to act on it. Today, ~13% of the Fortune 500, plus companies like Ramp, Figma, Chime, Calendly, and DocuSign, use Profound to turn AI Search from a black box into a measurable growth channel.
Backed by Lightspeed, Sequoia, Kleiner Perkins, and Khosla Ventures at a $1B valuation, we're a lean, fast-moving team across NYC, SF, Buenos Aires, and London, shipping at a relentless pace and defining a new category at the biggest shift in marketing in 25 years. If you want to do the best work of your career at the frontier of AI, come build it with us.
The marketing team ships a lot at once: product launches, the Zero Click Summit, brand campaigns, research content, lifecycle programs, and the category-creation work underneath all of it. This role is the operating backbone that keeps it coherent.
You'll turn a fast, ambitious marketing org into one that operates fast and efficiently. You'll drive the planning cadence, the operating systems, and the visibility that let the team move fast without dropping things. You'll actively hunt for what's slow, broken, or duplicated, and fix it. Nothing here is a settled playbook, so you'll also co-own getting our biggest integrated launches out the door.
This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Head of Marketing. You'll work across every function on the team and directly with marketing leadership.
What You'll Own
Planning and cadence
Run the planning process end to end: quarterly priorities, budget tracking, and headcount planning alongside the Head of Marketing
Turn strategy into a clear, sequenced (but fluid) roadmap the whole team can see and execute against
Own the operating rhythm - team meetings, planning sessions, retros, and the rituals that keep everyone aligned
Systems & problem-solving
Go find the friction: hunt down the bottlenecks, handoff gaps, and duplicated effort slowing the team, and fix them at the root
Drive complex, cross-functional launches from ambiguous brief to shipped on time
Build the visibility layer so leadership and the team always know what's in flight, what's at risk, and what's blocked
Stand up and sharpen the tooling and processes that track marketing work and performance, killing anything that isn't working
Initiative execution
Co-own orchestration of our biggest integrated moments: product launches, campaigns, and events like the Zero Click Summit
Hold the cross-functional dependencies (product, design, content, lifecycle, sales) together so launches land
Team operations
Build onboarding and ways-of-working that scale as the team grows
Bring structure to the ambiguous stuff before it becomes a fire
What Your First 30 Days Look Like
Map how marketing actually runs today. What's working, where things fall through, and where time is being wasted, then start fixing the biggest offenders
Stand up a single source of truth for in-flight work and priorities
Take point on one major launch start to finish, so you learn the team and the team learns you
Ship the first version of our planning and reporting cadence
What We're Looking For
4-6 years in marketing operations, program management, or strategic ops, ideally in fast-moving B2B or startup environments
A track record of walking into messy, fast situations and leaving them structured
The ability to align a team who works in sprints and doesn’t believe in detailed annual planning
An instinct for spotting inefficiencies and the drive to fix it
Systems thinking: you build processes and tooling that scale instead of one-off patches
Strong project management instincts and fluency with the tools (Asana, Linear, Notion, or similar)
Comfort operating lean and fast, with high ownership and real pride in the quality of your work
The ability to drive accountability across a team without managing anyone directly
Analytical enough to track both the qualitative (is the team aligned?) and the quantitative (did the launch hit?)
Nice to Have
Experience at a category-creation or early-stage company where the playbook didn't exist yet
Familiarity with how a full marketing org fits together (content, brand, creative, lifecycle, PMM, events)
A point of view on AI and how it's changing search and discovery
How We Work
Operator-first, high talent, low ego. We'd rather ship and learn than polish in a vacuum. If you like building the machine as much as running it, you'll fit here.
Based in NYC, in-office 5 days a week.
Compensation & Benefits
Expected base salary range: $140,000–$190,000. Full comp includes base, equity, and benefits. Final offer and title depends on experience and location.
