Role Overview
We’re looking for a skilled Finish Carpenter to join our growing team. This role focuses on the detailed execution of cabinetry, trim, doors, and finishes—both in our factory and on-site installations. You’ll play a key role in producing high-quality, precision-built modular housing components.
Responsibilities
Perform finish carpentry tasks in a controlled factory setting and on residential job sites.
Install cabinetry, doors, windows, baseboards, casings, crown molding, and other trim elements.
Collaborate with team members to ensure finish work is accurate, consistent, and ready for final paint.
Interpret shop and construction drawings to guide accurate installations.
Rout hinge locations, apply edge banding, and assemble complex trim assemblies using biscuits or domino joinery.
Conduct quality checks to uphold company craftsmanship standards.
Maintain clean, organized workspaces and follow all safety procedures.
Participate in occasional on-site installation work post-delivery of modular units.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
3+ years of finish carpentry experience.
Skilled in cabinetry and detailed trim work, including crown, base, and casing.
Experience with domino or biscuit joinery preferred.
Comfortable routing hinges and applying edge banding when needed.
Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in overhead positions for extended periods.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship.
Team-oriented and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions
Primary work location: Reframe’s factory in Andover, MA.
Occasional work at local installation sites (e.g., Somerville, Devens).
Physical demands include standing, lifting, bending, and handling materials/tools.
Some overtime or weekend work may be required to meet production schedules.
