This isn’t a traditional HR management role. You won’t be managing a big team or running a hiring machine. Instead, you’ll serve as a strategic thought partner to the CEO and leadership team, helping us scale smart, stay human, and build a culture where high performance and healthy dynamics go hand in hand.
You’ll work closely with managers and team leads to sharpen communication, shape team dynamics, support leadership development, and ensure we build an environment people want to grow in - not just work in.
Responsibilities:Strategic People Partnering
- Act as a trusted partner to the CEO, founders, and managers on org design, team health, and leadership effectiveness.
- Guide the company through key transitions: scaling GTM, hiring leaders, evolving roles, and strengthening collaboration.
Culture & Leadership Development
- Build frameworks for feedback, performance, and team growth that match Sett’s pace and values.
- Coach team leads and founders on navigating people challenges, role clarity, conflict, and change.
- Lead intentional culture-building initiatives: from onboarding and rituals to offsites and operating principles.
Organizational Maturity & People Ops
- Own and evolve our foundational people practices (onboarding, reviews, compensation structure, internal communication).
- Bring rigor and consistency without bureaucracy: we want clarity, not complexity.
- Work alongside our Office & Admin Manager, mentoring her and integrating lightweight HR processes into day-to-day ops.
Team Health & Scale Readiness
- Use data, observation, and conversation to surface issues early and prevent misalignment or burnout.
- Support key transitions: first-time managers, cross-functional collaboration, title evolution, and leadership bandwidth.
What You Won’t Be Doing
- Scaling a recruiting team or owning all sourcing - though you’ll help us get hiring right where it matters.
- Managing a big HR team - this is a high-leverage, hands-on role with strategic impact and minimal hierarchy.
