Description

We’re looking for a driven, motivated and ambitious senior bookkeeper to join our team.

This role will be responsible for all financial records, reconciliations and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures. This role combines hands-on accounting, system management, and process ownership. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing billing, payments, institutions, accruals, prepaids, and fixed assets in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

1. Billing & Revenue Management

  • Prepare, issue, and record customer invoices (domestic and international).
  • Monitor accounts receivable, send reminders, and manage collections.
  • Ensure revenue recognition aligns with contractual terms and accounting standards.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely billing.

2. Accounts Payable & Payments

  • Process supplier invoices, vendor statements, and employee reimbursement.
  • Manage vendor master data and ensure accurate documentation and compliance.
  • Prepare and execute payments in line with approval workflows and cash flow.
  • Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies.

3. Month-End Close, Accruals & Prepaids

  • Maintain accurate GL records and prepare financial reports as needed.
  • Prepare and record monthly accruals for expenses not yet invoiced.
  • Maintain prepaid expense schedules and ensure timely amortization.
  • Manage journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing checklists.

4. Fixed Asset (FA) Management

  • Maintain the Fixed Asset Register: additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation.
  • Record capitalization entries and ensure correct classification between CapEx and OpEx.
  • Perform monthly depreciation runs and reconcile to the general ledger.

5. Systems, Tools & Automation

  • Manage Mesh and other financial integrations for seamless data flow.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and drive automation for recurring finance tasks.

6. Reporting & Compliance

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Conduct bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Support external audits and provide required documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax filings, and institutional obligations.

Requirements

  • Certified Bookkeeper type 3
  • 5+ years of bookkeeping, ideally in a growing or tech-driven company.
  • Strong hands-on experience with NetSuite (required).
  • Experience with Mesh or similar spend-management platforms (preferred).
  • Solid understanding of accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and full-cycle accounting.
  • Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills and comfort with financial reporting tools.
  • High level of independence, accuracy, and attention to details
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
