Description
We are looking for a Senior Game Designer to lead the gameplay design, UX, and artistic quality of playable ads.
In this role, you will define gameplay mechanics, create clear Game Definitions, and ensure playable ads deliver engaging and intuitive player experiences.
You will work closely with developers, QA, auditors, and customer-facing teams to ensure playable design aligns with client goals, production constraints, and high quality standards.
This role acts as the design authority for playable ads, ensuring gameplay, UX, and artistic quality are maintained throughout the production process.
Responsibilities
Gameplay, UX & Design Ownership
- Own the gameplay, UX, and overall creative direction of playable ads, ensuring intuitive and engaging experiences within playable ad constraints.
- Define gameplay mechanics, interaction loops, and UX principles, maintaining consistent gameplay and visual quality across playables.
- Safeguard the intended player experience throughout development.
Game Definitions & Design Validation
- Translate client briefs and campaign requirements into clear, structured, and implementation-ready Game Definitions.
- Define gameplay direction, interaction structure, and core experience based on requirements.
- Ensure Game Definitions accurately reflect requirements and minimize predictable revision cycles.
Design Authority During Production
- Ensure playable implementations accurately reflect the intended design across gameplay, UX, and artistic direction.
- Review and approve the playable core, providing final design approval when required.
- Support development with gameplay clarifications and adjust Game Definitions when technical constraints require changes.
Cross-Team Guidance & Impact
- Guide developers, auditors, and production teams to ensure correct implementation and consistent design quality.
- Ensure teams understand the reasoning behind gameplay and UX decisions to reduce recurring mistakes and rework.
- Support Partnerships Growth (PG) on complex or design-sensitive customers and contribute to alignment on strategic cases.
What Success Looks Like?
- Game Definitions are clear and require minimal clarification during development.
- Playables consistently deliver strong gameplay, UX, and artistic quality.
- Customer requirements are reflected in the initial design, reducing revision cycles.
- Playable quality remains consistent across productions.
Requirements
- Strong experience as a Game Designer in mobile games or playable ads.
- Proven experience designing playable ads or UA gameplay experiences.
- Deep understanding of gameplay mechanics, player experience (UX), and engagement loops.
- Experience creating clear design documentation (Game Definitions / GDD).
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including developers, QA, and production teams.
- Strong communication skills and ability to guide teams on design intent.
