TLDR: We're looking for a Founding Recruiter to join our early team. You’ll be instrumental in finding, evaluating, and hiring top talent for White Circle - ranging from AI engineers to GTM to Product.

This isn't a coordination role. Nor is this a quick path to management. This is a role where you’ll be deep in the weeds of sourcing and recruiting. You’ll be entrusted with more autonomy than you’re likely comfortable with. And you’ll be integral to scaling our most precious asset: our team.

About us

White Circle is an AI Safety company building the safety, reliability, and optimization layer for AI systems. At the core of our platform are policies – simple natural-language rules that define what an AI model should and shouldn’t do. We automatically test, enforce, and continuously improve these policies at scale.

What you'll do

  • Own end-to-end recruiting for roles across all functions - sourcing, screening, coordinating, closing - with a heavy emphasis on identifying, connecting with, and hiring top technical talent internationally

  • Go out of your way to identify top talent at a global scale

  • Think several steps ahead when it comes to building our team; what we’ll need as we hit growth milestones, and how to best prepare ourselves for when we get there

  • Build and manage our talent infrastructure: including our ATS, sourcing tools, interview frameworks, etc

  • Partner directly with our founder and team leads to deeply understand hiring needs and translate them into effective searches

  • Get creative with where we seek and how we connect with top talent

  • Drive a candidate experience that reflects who we are

  • Track and report on recruiting metrics to improve speed and quality over time

  • Help us think about employer brand and how we show up to the talent market

What we’re looking for

  • We aren’t looking at tenure as a sign of your success - we are looking at your impact, results, and growth delta. As such: if you are early in your career but are a top performer and hungry to take on more responsibility, we’d love to hear from you.

  • Proven experience sourcing and hiring top tier technical talent in/for a startup environment, ideally in an international setting

  • Exposure to hiring for AI, ML, or AI safety roles is a strong plus

  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building process where none exists

  • Strong sourcing instincts; you are a hunter, and the thrill of the hunt motivates you

  • Innate intensity and ambition to do great things, and

  • Clear communicator who earns trust quickly with candidates and hiring managers alike
